Day 1 of Dayton Trip: Chiefs Come From Behind to Beat Dragons

Yesterday was a long day as we left Chattanooga around 7:45 AM.  We stopped in several times along the way, including in Florence, Kentucky to see my Great Great Aunt.  We arrived in Dayton, Ohio around 4, just in time to check into our hotel and get ready for Kyler’s game.

I have been to a ton of minor league baseball stadiums, and Fifth Third Field in Dayton is one of my all time favorites.  It was built as a Triple-A park, and the citizens of Dayton have made it popular.  The Dragons have sold out over 700 straight home games going into this month!  What an atmosphere!  This is my second time visiting the home of the Dragons, and it’s just as good this time as last.

Kyler had a great game going 2-for-4 with a stolen base.  The chiefs trailed most of the game, but came back in the ninth scoring two runs to take the lead and ultimately win the game.  I’ve posted a couple of videos (sorry for the rough quality) from the game.

Besides seeing my brother and the Chiefs winning, the highlight of my night had to be seeing the two or three year old in front of us sucking on his dad’s beer bottle as if it was his bottle. What was this mom thinking?!?

That’s all for now.  I’ll post more updates tonight or tomorrow!  You can also follow my live updates on Twitter @kevinburke2!
