Obama Says Courts Not Redistributing Wealth is a Tragedy

In this YouTube video, you can hear a 2001 radio interview where Democratic Presidential candidate, Barack Obama, said it was a tragedy that the courts had failed to redistribute wealth.

Also, I wanted to post a quote from Marcus Tullius Cicero from 55 B.C. Cicero was a Roman statesman, lawyer, political theorist, philosopher and Roman constitutionalist. Cicero is widely considered one of Rome’s greatest orators and prose stylists. In 55 B.C. he said:

“The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
