I’m not sure if that’s a threat to actually *shoot* a weapon or just display ownership of one, but to me this sounds completely ignorant. If it is, in fact, the former, I see all kinds of problems. Even the latter brings up issues, because if I am armed and someone raises a weapon at me, I will most likely see that as a treat to my life and shoot first. This type of ignorance while claiming Constitutional rights is exactly what is wrong with American citizens.
The same thing goes for the Californians from West Hollywood who “hung” a mannequin dressed as Palin from their roof; it’s appalling and they’re claiming it’s a right to free speech, but when it includes violent threats (like murdering Palin through hanging) it steps out of bounds.
