Hamilton County Sheriff’s Candidates Leave Much To Be Desired For

Posted by Kevin

Have any of you actually looked into our Sheriff’s race lately? You would think after we went wrong with our “can’t go wrong with Billy Long” sheriff, that we would be more involved in this important race. A Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of a county, and we should not take the process of finding a new one lightly. To be honest, it’s very disturbing to watch the two videos I’ve posted below. There is only one candidate that I would even consider voting for on August 7. Let’s see who might get your vote.

I’m going to hold of on commenting for now. I’ll post my choice along with the reasons why at a later date. Just take 10 minutes and watch these videos…

  1. Jim Hammond is the only qualified candidate in this race. the other two leading cantidates have either only been an officer at the jail or out of law enforcement for 35 years, not in it for 35 years.

  2. I have to agree that Jim Hammond is the most qualified, in terms of experience and training. He does kind of scare me, though, with his aspirations to be like the Sheriff of Maricopa County, AZ (Phoenix area), and with his comments about US forces in Iraq paving the way for Christian missionaries.

I will agree wholesale that there is not one candidate in this race for whom I can get excited about voting.
