I quit blogging back in March when I announced my candidacy for the Hamilton County District 7 School Board seat that was being vacated by Joe Conner. I really enjoyed being involved in the “Education Debate” in Hamilton County, and I had the opportunity to meet many people. My campaign team felt confident about our chance to win the election, and we had a massive grass roots effort in the works.

Due to time constraints and less-than-perfect timing, I withdrew my name from the School Board race two weeks ago. If I would not be able to make the School Board my top priority, then it wouldn’t be fair to the students of Hamilton County or the people of District 7. My family, school and business are currently my top priorities, and to add the School Board would be to short change the people who elected me.
